Antiphos FE is an ideal media for selectively extracting phosphate from aquarium water, helping to reduce and prevent nuisance algal growth.
Antiphos FE is a highly active iron based product containing no aluminum and is completely non-toxic to aquarium plants and animals.
Phosphate is irreversibly bound to the media and is removed from the aquarium when the Antiphos FE is renewd. It is particularly effective in controlling phosphates in coral reef aquaria and can reduce phosphates to trave values for extended periods of time.
The coarse particle size enables high flow rates through the media without resorting to a fluidized bed.
The binding capacity of Antiphos FE is 10g phosphate/kg and 1,000ml can treat a normally populated 160 gallon aquarium for 3 to 6 months.
